Our Diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition

IN our 2 Year Licentiate Diploma, you will cover a diverse range of Naturopathic Nutrition areas. From Traditional to Modern, the course provides a thorough and dynamic training.

  • Philosophy of Health & Disease

    Philosophy is the foundation of your practice, and will be taught throughout the 2 year training. During this module you will learn how naturopathic nutrition views disease in the patients Vitality. Each person we work with, is an individual with particular expressions of disease, lifestyle and personal history.

    You will understand how to capture this individuality based on these philosophical principles.

    It is important to understand the foundations of Naturopathic Medicine and how this has given birth to nutrition as a stand alone discipline.

    You will cover areas including: Historical & Modern philosophy of Naturopathy and Nutrition, concepts of health and disease, naturopathic principles, organ hierarchies and Herrings law…and a great deal more!

  • Clinical Training

    Clinical training is an essential part of becoming a good, effective Nutritional Therapist. Your advancement in this discipline will ensure that you develop confidence, the correct approach for each individual and a firm basis on which to practice within the Code of Ethics.

    By the end of your studies, you will have developed a full understanding and competency in Case Taking, Management and prescription. Yo will cover:

    Year 1 – observation and analysis of Class based Cases (live and recorded)

    Year 2 – up to 100 hours of own case taking with a final Portfolio of cases.

    The Portfolio will ensure that you have undertaken case taking and management in line with Ethical conduct and standards needed for practice.

  • Practitioner Development

    Developing as a Practitioner is a vital part of the course. Good foundations ensures that you will endeavour at all times to listen and receive the case before you with clarity, empathy and accuracy.

    Developing as a Practitioner means you develop as a Person; it is this layer of richness that will be supported and developed in this Module. This Module is taught in Year 1 and Year 2. You will cover:

    Triad work – ‘Observer, Patient, Practitioner’

    Inner Development - understanding the dynamic foundation of our actions. A valuable tool in case taking

    Reflection - Reflecting on clinical situations and decisions.

    The Role of the Supervisor and Supervisee; expectations, agreements and roles.

  • Naturopathic Techniques

    This Module provided knowledge and examples of the different method of techniques used in natural nutrition.

    An understanding of techniques in clinical practice can be best applied and understood as an aide to elimination, balancing, detoxifying and cleansing.

    Examples of these may be dietary methods, inner cleansing work and hydration techniques.

    This Module begins in Year 2 of the course.

  • Nutritional Science

    Nutritional Sciences is a vital component to understanding the importance and role of nutritional factors, and the impact on our mind, body and soul.

    We require optimum nutrition to function as dynamic divine beings, and a sound understanding of macronutrients, micronutrients, and vitamins ensures that in practice you will be clear on their combinations, usage, uptake and need.

    This is the science of food and its vitality, and is taught through the 2 years.

  • Medical Science

    The Medical Sciences Module covers the wide area of anatomy, physiology and pathology from traditional to ancient systems such as TCM, Iridology, Ayurveda.

    This Module teaches you the essentials needed to practice as a competent Naturopathic Nutritionist. The aim is that you develop a competency which supports your understanding of patient pathology, symptoms, and location and nature of nutritional deficiency and its effects.

    The study of this module is essential for your studies, graduation and necessary insurance.

What you need to know

  • The Naturopathic Nutrition Diploma Curriculum is available to all joining students

  • To qualify you are required to attend 600 hours of study over 2 years, and complete a Case Portfolio

  • To qualify you are required to attend for 80% of the course

  • The Course Summer School (4-6 days) is included in your fees. Accommodation, travel and food is not included.

  • A student 1-hour study group is run by the School once a month, online as part of your course fee

  • All books and materials are not included in the course fee

  • Annual Fees for the Diploma is £3,700, paid in one instalment or split payments (monthly administration fee & T&Cs apply).

  • To secure your place, a £250 deposit is required.

  • You will require Student Insurance in Year 2 to begin your Clinical Training (not included in the course fee)

  • Attending seminars will increase your knowledge and your connection to the wider naturopathic community

  • A Student Handbook, teaching timetable, reading list, full curriculum and fees agreement is supplied on application and payment of deposit.

Our 2 Year Naturopathic Nutrition Course will ensure that you meet the necessary National Occupational Standards, and Ethical outcomes for registration with our Accreditor,
