Personal and Professional Development

Developing as a Practitioner is a vital part of the course. Good foundations in this area means that you will endeavour at all times to listen and receive the case before you with clarity, empathy and accuracy, resulting in better health for your clients.

Developing as a Practitioner means you develop as a Person; it is this layer of richness that will be supported and developed in this Module. This Module is taught in both Year 1 and Year 2 of the course.

The Module will include:

• Triad work – ‘Observer, Patient, Practitioner’ working with cases information and case taking

• Inner Development work which allows us to understand the dynamic foundation of why we do and are the way we are. A valuable tool in case taking

• Reflection – when we reflect on clinical situations and decisions we develop as better practitioners for ourselves and our Patents health.

• The Role of the Supervisor and Supervisee; expectations, agreements and roles.
